The 2020 Richmond FC Recreational Spring Soccer League will run April 14 to June 20, 2020. The League is open to girls and boys born 2015 to 2008. There is a Parent-Tot program for players born 2016.

The League is CO-ED for players born 2015, 2014, 2009 and 2008.

If numbers permit, Richmond FC will try to run separate girls and boys leagues for players born 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010. If numbers do not permit, these divisions will be co-ed also.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

For the 2015 to 2008 born girls and boys, the Recreational Spring Soccer League is games both sessions (two times per week). All sessions are 1 hour in length. There are no practices, it is recreational game play or “let the kids play”.

All registered players will be assigned to a team that is lead by a volunteer parent coach. Each session is  full of games, laughter, and fun! Richmond FC will provide Staff Coaches to observe, assist and manage the League’s on-field operations, but they do not run the teams during games. Parent coaches will oversee the game environment and flow of the game (including substitutions) adding words of encouragement, advice, and instruction in a safe environment. Kids are given the chance to “just play”. Richmond FC provides referees for games for players 2011 to 2008.

Game structure is small-sided games. 2015/2014 play 3 v 3, 2013/2012 play 4 v 4, 2011/2010 play 6 v 6 and 2009/2008 play 8 v 8.

For players born 2016, Richmond FC will continue to run its very popular Parent-Tot soccer program. The program is delivered by a Richmond FC Staff coach and players and parents partake in each session.

The Recreational Spring Soccer League will take place at Boyd Soccer Complex (#1 Road and Francis Road)
